The early 1980s version of the Southern Heavyweight Title from the Memphis/CWA territory.
Jerry "The King" Lawler won and lost this title approximately 40 times during the 1970s and 1980s. It was also worn (albeit much less often) by the likes of territory mainstays Bill Dundee, Dutch Mantell, and Jimmy Valiant.
