Yr Rube & Rasslin' Foto of the Week

Clawmaster Baron Von Raschke poses with an assortment of jackasses in front of his wigwam/shoddily crafted souvenir trinkets emporium in Lake George, MN.

Look at the simpleton in the orange t-shirt (with what looks to be a Guttermouth logo on the front). He's not even doing the claw gesture correctly. What a poseur!

Hypothetically speaking, of course, what exactly might one find in Baron Von Raschke's shoddily crafted souvenir emporium?

Bratwurst, strong beer, leiderhosen, the embalmed corpse of Mad Dog Vachon (It's what's keeping him alive) and if you ask nicely, he'll show you his collection of Nazi Paraphernalia.

Apparently the largest collection of Nazi paraphernalia in North America.

While the Baron got out of the whimsical trinket business in about 2000 or so (the photo in question was taken in 1998), the wigwam continues to dominate the Lake George downtown landscape and move product at a glacial pace.

Items you may still find include lawn ornaments (including but most certainly not limited to the gardening elderly fat lady bending over and revealing her polka dotted britches), Native American artifacts manufactured in an Filipino sweatshop, shot glasses and other liquor consumption vessels etched with assorted north woods wildlife, and t-shirts commemorating the town's annual Blueberry Festival.
