Ric Flair: Custom Made

Some more uplifting (or at least reality averting) YouTube goodness of vintage "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, circa 1988, courtesy of your friends at the Arabian Facebuster Center for Bereavement and Reconciliation.

"You detest the fact that I've got more cars than most of ya have friends."

Some braggadocio rapper needs to steal that line for his next diss track. Chumps like Ja Rule and LL Cool J have gotten off too easy lately.

And THIS, my friends, is how you work your way through grief. Thank you, Malibu, and thanks also for the Socko energy drink delivery. It really helped get me back on the writing horse. Whoooo!

As an aside, I love the concept of the "big side of town." I envision a series of squalid shacks next to some railroad tracks, on the other of side of which stand soaring, absurdly tall and architecturally daring mansions, bathed in golden sunlight.

Flair's unintentional racism is pretty ridiculous as well...since when in his collegiate and pro career did only black folks care about Herschel Walker?

Bonus points for the Dale Murphy shout out- the pride of my very own Wilson High School!
